Some
Frequently Asked Questions
iClaim
Check - FAQ
Question -
I ran iClaim Check and got indication of errors, but the
error messages were void of text.
Reply - Please make sure that under View you have
either Print
Layout or Internet Layout. Also check under Tools/Options the setting
for Track Changes.
Question - I ran
iClaim Check and got one error message: "Please correct claim number
and REPROCESS". After correcting the wrong claim number I ran iClaim
Check again and got two more error messages. Why didn't I see the
additional errors in the first run?
Reply - When iClaim
Check encounters an error in consecutive numbering of the claims
it aborts processing and asks you to correct the claim number and
REPROCESS. The reason is that a wrong claim number may result in
many error messages that would not appear once the claim number
is corrected.
iClaim Renumber - FAQ
Question - I ran
iClaim Renumber on a selected number of claims. The claim numbers
were not changed, but the dependencies were changed correctly.
What is the reason for this behavior?
Reply -
When you use the automatic numbering feature of Microsoft Word,
that is, your claim numbers are automatically assigned when hitting
'RETURN', iClaim Renumber assumes that the claim numbers remain
consecutive even after you have added or deleted a number of claims.
This is not true for the dependencies, which are therefore corrected
by iClaim Renumber.
